Do you think my teacher was fair?

ok. so me and my mother are kind of in a little spat because we both think we're right. my teacher asked us a question on a quiz, the question was "WHO WAS CONCIDERED THE MOST POWERFUL MILITARY LEADER? HOW DID HE DIE?" my answer was "RUBIOUS CEASAR, HE WAS KILLED" my teacher marked this answer completely wrong because i did not include who killed him. now in my opinion i should be right because i completely answered correctly what she asked. she insists that she was looking for the name of the guy who killed him but she did not ask that in her question. my mom also agrees with my teacher in that "i needed to inference" on my answer and should have included the name of who killed him. (yes this would have been a better answer but she only asked for non sentence single or a couple word answers? who is right me or my mom? should the question have been marked wrong?
