HELP! My hedge hog is very sick and i can't get him to a vet for more than 24 hours?!?!?!?

Is it possible that your hedgehog injured its eye on a foreign object in its housing area? Also, things like dust could cause an eye infection. Is it possible to call an exotic vet somewhere that might be able to consult you on things you can do in the meantime? I found some articles on SmallAnimalChannel's section on Hedgehogs that you might find helpful. I hope they are helpful at least. Definitely keep an eye on him, if any other signs of illness occur you should definitely keep note of it and of they continue to occur or are a one time thing. You should definitely try to get some food and fluids in him. A small critter that isn't eating or drinking is not a good sign.
