In Canadian Mardi Gras, "Carnaval d'hiver' what is the name of the "king"?

I can't remember the French name for the Mardi Gras king in Canada! It's really beginning to bother me. I was told that the name means "snowman" in short, of course that isn't a direct translation. Can someone help me, please?
