Why does my dog eat his own feces?

My dog keeps eating his feces i cant get him to stop i heard about putting hot sauce on it but I have 5 dogs (thats alot of feces) and I dont want to go in my backyard looking for gold I give them enough food I dont want to hit them. PLZ HLP
