A question about Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder...?

My mum has never been the easiest person to have around and her mental health has deteriorated a lot over the last 15 years. She definately suffers from anxiety disorder, has panic attacks, is very hyper active and most of all very controlling. She was a nightmare to live with but even though im in my mid 30s with a family, she cannot help herself from trying to control my every decision. With regards the OCD thing - she is obsessed with hygiene (not tidiness because she is not tidy in fact very disorganised). thats fine once she keeps it to herself but she calls every day to clean the dogs poo from the street i live in, to clean the wheels of my babies push chair!!?? She washes her hands over and over and tells anyone who comes to the house to wash their hands. She is also terrified of contamination of all kinds - even that from detergents (thinking there is a huge conspiracy amongst the manufacturers to poison us all). She gets aggressive with me if i dont use eco friendly EVERYTHING, and has caused huge problems between myself and my partner because she says he shouldnt wash his hands in the kitchen sink. Sounds ridiculous but its really making me depressed. Ive been around in circles with her for YEARS and have tried everything from ignoring this behaviour, trying to talk to her about it, and also tried cutting her out of my life because of some very serious crazy episodes involving my children. She spoke to a therapist and did take prozac for a few months a few yrs ago but started to think the pills were going to poison her and fell out with the therapist when she tried to address any of her issues. Any advice?

Hello im a 19 year old male who has had unprotected 5 times recently.?

I am worried as for nearly a year now I have had swelling of my epididymis on both testicles. initially I was worried that I had maybe got chlamydia as I frequently checked for the symptoms online and thought mine matched, I visited my GP a while ago and he told me that due to the area I live, the only realistic STI I could catch was chlamydia as most the others were vary rare in my area. I had a test and the results came back fine. Since then I have had unprotected on a couple of occasions. and for about 6/7 months I have been feeling dizzy and energy-less at certain parts of the day mainly through lunchtime after I have eaten, or when I need to urinate, also my poo has been small and lumpy even though my appetite is abnormally huge! Ive been blowing out snot from my nose every 2 seconds since well before christmas. and my temperature is weirdly high on different occasions kinda like a fever. lsd and shrooms go pretty hand and hand together. With shrooms and LSD you are going to experience a slight stimulant effect, increased pulse and blood pressure. when we do styles like this at my hairdressers, we use leave in condition to prevent dry ends and to keep them silky, apply mousse from the centre of the hair downwards before drying, then then with a medium size round brush blow dry creating a few flicks, obviously its nicer to keep the side fringe straight, then once dried, apply a dot of wax to palm of hand and don't scrunch it just sort of like push it into your head in an upwards direction, also i agree to go to a slightly more up market hairdressers as these styles require regular training, something cheaper hairdressers don't do, hope this helps, also you are very pretty, i think you have very nice hair already

Im going to a really good college, top school in my state but it doesnt offer my major just something "close" to it.. and another school in my state does offer the major but its not a good school..... people keep telling me to stay here cuz its a great top state school (rutgers) .. what matters? the school or the degree?

Is it bad to take a gap year before college?

Taking a year off can be a great idea. I am taking a year off to do just what you are doing. One potential danger of doing this is that if you're not in school, it can be hard to go back. Do you have any community colleges in your area? It can be helpful to take some general ed. credits--that way you can apply as a transfer and transfer those credits to the school of your choice. Already being in college (like if you went to a CC), well, helps you get into other colleges. Also, taking cles will help ease the transition better than if you just took a year off and then started again. Good luck!

If you touched a object that a person with Hep C touched and there was no blood visable what is the risk?

Well, the only thing I could think of other than what was said above me is this. Your house is an enclosed shell, so whenever sound s that shell it echos, although we don't hear the echo. Okay so I know this is probably a random question but im thinking about joining it. My lifes at a point right now where everythings hard for me I don't have a job and I didn't finish school. I just had my heart broken and im going through hell. I want to get away to somewhere that will keep my mind busy. I have tried to end my life. But there has to be another way out. Do you think this is a good idea? Like I said I just want to be away from everybody and everything im tired of my life and its not going anywhere good. The love of my life and I are done for good and im crying my eyes out he won't talk to me. He thinks im crazy. So would this be a good way to get away from everything and make a good life for myself? What do i do if my friend has a seizure? (diabetes)?

so i have a friend, hes 15 or 16 i don't remember, and hes type two diabetic. he does not take care of himself at all. we always tell him he has to eat right, but he doesn't. his blood sugar level is usually supposed to be around 7-9, but on a regular basis, its anywhere from 24-32. i want to know, what can i do to help him if he has a seizure/goes into a coma when hes with me.

To make a long story short I got left for someone else.He told me he didn't have anymore feelings for her that he was done with her. He said that he never wanted to hurt me and that from now on it was all about us. All of a sudden he started to change and he finally told me he still had feelings for her. So Im crying my heart out while we were on the phone and then all he says to me is "IM JUST GOING TO STAY WITH YOU BECAUSE I SEE YOU CANT GET OVER ME" I was so hurt how he could just be so cruel after I put my heart on the line for him. But even though he said what he said to me and that he wanted to leave me I still said I love you he said it back and hung up we haven't talked since. I know I shouldn't be waiting on his call but sometimes I do its been about 4days now but its hard to make the pain im feeling go away. I just want to know should I feel bad or wrong for anything

It's just an essment practice, and we've already had 2. I didn't go last time, it was canceled because of rain. My parents told me i had to get exercise (no im not fat or out of shape, i am one of the fittest in my cl and can run an 8 min mile and im not even a runner at all, its just cause i wasn't currently in a sport). I understand this simple lesson perfectly. There's just a few problems that are a little confusing. I am suppose to underline the prepositional phrase and circle the noun or verb that the phrase modifies. The thing that trips me up is the sentences with two prepositional phrases. I can easily find the noun or verb, but I don't know if I should underline both prep. phrases or just one. Here's an example... 1) The sound of the rain on the roof is very loud. AND here's the adverb sentence... 2) At two the post office reopened for business. So which prep. phrs. do I underline? Both? One? Please help and explain why.

Look at it this way, if people never took the time to have relationships, how could they learn? how could they reaffirm and strengthen their own individuality without experiencing oppositions and conflicts that are evident in relationships? Part of understanding ourselves is seeing how we react to different people. We can't simply say who we are and what we are without actually practicing what we preach, and what better way to understand and strengthen ourselves than to have relationships? We can't do everything ourselves, and we really shouldn't expect it.

I think I would rather hold on to Martin and Fielder personally. Martin is a rarity because he is a catcher who can steal and score runs. Morneau and Fielder are kind of a wash to me. Fielder will hit more homeruns while Morneau does other things better. Fielder is younger so, in my mind, he has more potential. I don't think Morneau is going to be any better than what he has done in the past.

We are currently on our third round of Clomid at 50mg. I ovulate every month and we have been trying over a year, so my doctor wanted me to try this for no more than 6 cycles. I'm uming you got the story of what happened from your daughter. Do you think there's maybe another side to it? I would go directly to the teacher and talk to him about it. There are inconsistencies in the story. Like, you said "my daughter was writing and keeping quiet, when her teacher starts yelling at her and told her to put her journal on his desk. They were checking homework from the night before." So, it sounds like the cl was participating in a group task, and instead of participating, your daughter was writing in her journal. If kids would just listen to their teachers.....

I think if you are happy with who you are you will be more likely to reach out to others. I don't feel I have a relationship with myself though. I am myself. Others help us to learn about ourselves. They also make us aware of characteristics we don't want. But I'm myself when I'm alone, or when I'm with others. Well, I was stoked when I found out that I could put movies and music on my DS. Now I use it for all 3, and if there were a good option for web browsing on there I would be doing that too. And I would watch tv on there if I could (in Japan they sell digital tv rabbit ears for the DS). However, about 60% of the time I am using my DS, I am playing with the Korg DS-10, which isn't so much a game as a music software program. So I am definitely a multi-media lover in a video gamers world. I can also put ebooks on the DS, I just don't have any yet.

I was a nurse. :) Douching in general isn't a good thing. It upsets the balance in your and leaves you prone to infection. If you're pregnant, you may be exposing the baby to something they may not be able to fight off.

It's just an essment practice, and we've already had 2. I didn't go last time, it was canceled because of rain. My parents told me i had to get exercise (no im not fat or out of shape, i am one of the fittest in my cl and can run an 8 min mile and im not even a runner at all, its just cause i wasn't currently in a sport). I REALLY don't want to go cause I hate softball and tonight is the most boring night of the season, no exaggeration. How can I tell them that I don't want to go? And NO Im not going to lie to them. HELP! My hedge hog is very sick and i can't get him to a vet for more than 24 hours?!?!?!?

Is it possible that your hedgehog injured its eye on a foreign object in its housing area? Also, things like dust could cause an eye infection. Is it possible to call an exotic vet somewhere that might be able to consult you on things you can do in the meantime? I found some articles on SmallAnimalChannel's section on Hedgehogs that you might find helpful. I hope they are helpful at least. Definitely keep an eye on him, if any other signs of illness occur you should definitely keep note of it and of they continue to occur or are a one time thing. You should definitely try to get some food and fluids in him. A small critter that isn't eating or drinking is not a good sign.

Injured at work/ michigan?

I was injured at work in Nov. of 2008 and have been of work since. Workers comp. has dropped my case because they're doctor states that no treatment is needed but at home stretching and to return to light duty for the next three weeks, full work status shortly after. My personal doctors on the other hand have been considering back surgery, since all other treatments have been unsuccessful. My injury is to the L4,L5 lower lumbar. Bulging discs to be exact. I am taking some very powerful drugs just to be able to get out of bed (MS Contin 15mg , Valium 10mg,) I have hired a Attorney about a month ago when the insurance company tried to pull a fast one in attempts to canceling my claim. I not after money, my case is legit. My question is since workers comp has cut me and refuses to pay for my treatment so I can return to work at 100% statues, I am still injured and in need of treatment and istance with the medical bills, is there any istance that I may qualify for that is offered though the state of Mi? BTW workers comp has identified me as temp./total disabled. I thank you all for any helpful replies.

Could someone please explain to me how to do a backhand spring?? I am so scared to do it...every time I jump backwards I always bring one foot up at a time, how to solve this? ok. so me and my mother are kind of in a little spat because we both think we're right. my teacher asked us a question on a quiz, the question was "WHO WAS CONCIDERED THE MOST POWERFUL MILITARY LEADER? HOW DID HE DIE?" my answer was "RUBIOUS CEASAR, HE WAS KILLED" my teacher marked this answer completely wrong because i did not include who killed him. now in my opinion i should be right because i completely answered correctly what she asked. she insists that she was looking for the name of the guy who killed him but she did not ask that in her question. my mom also agrees with my teacher in that "i needed to inference" on my answer and should have included the name of who killed him. (yes this would have been a better answer but she only asked for non sentence single or a couple word answers? who is right me or my mom? should the question have been marked wrong?

Trying to conceive please help!?

Me and my fiance have been trying to have a baby for two years now. We're intimate almost every night. I know I can get pregnant, the problem is can he have children? Is there anywhere he can go to get his sperm count checked? Or to see if he's impotent. It will be very disappointing if he is. I told my 17 year old that as parents, we are the boss. Regardless if they buy something with their own money, we control what deserves to be used or not. I withheld my son's Ipod Touch for 48 hours as punishment a few weeks ago. It seems to work better when you take something they are proud of obtaining with their own money than by just telling them no tv or what not. It worked for me.

Do I deserve the warning I'm about to get?

At my university in Wolverhampton, the cleaners come round our halls 3 times a week and clean the shared kitchen and bathrooms and vacuum etc. The problem is that for the past 2 weeks, my flatmates and I have left washing up out continually on the kitchen sink, and we had a warning last week that if we didn't clean it up, the cleaners would take it all away and charge us to get it back. We thought sod that, and left it. Today anyway, the cleaner came back and started boxing it all up, and I came out of my room and started shouting 'put it back!', and she just went you'll have to take it up with the warden. Admittedly I started getting quite abusive to her and saying, no wonder all you've ended up as is a cleaner on minimum wage if this is what you're like, and 'I'd hate to be in your lowly position, cleaning up our **** day in, day out'. I could tell I'd quite upset her when she left (with our stuff), but I thought that was the end of the matter. She reported me to the halls manager though for being offensive and derogatory, and now I have a meeting in which I will probably be given a formal warning. Was that cleaner right to do that?

Is this a good idea about an incubator?

It has problems. 1) It should have a small vent at the bottom and at the top to allow fresh air in. Opening the top twice a day to turn the eggs may not be enough. A setting hen will not seal out the fresh air. 2) An accurate thermometer helps hatch more chicks. 3) Proper humidity is critical to a successful hatch and has to be changed in the last three days for chicken eggs. A common problem is chicks stuck in the shell from incorrect humidity. 4) The eggs close to the bulb will be warmer than those far from the bulb and the design is not conducive to proper air circulation. Yes is is cheap but is it worth the constant attention and adjustments so as to not waste a dozen fertile eggs.

I had the WEIRDEST dream about a dwarfed elephant, can you help!?

The only part I remember is on the news it said there was this baby elephant dying. I looked outside my back porch and I saw the baby elephant on my porch but it was very small and the news said it was slowly dying and I tried opening the slider but it wouldn't let me then I heard the newscaster on TV say No do not open that slider, he is diseased! But I felt so bad for the animal.
